Privacy Policy

Zolt is designed around a simple rule: your database work should stay on your machine unless you decide otherwise.

Last updated: May 5, 2026

01

Privacy position

Zolt is built for developers who do not want a database client to watch their work. The app is designed so database queries, schemas, connection strings, credentials, AI prompts, and AI responses stay on your device unless you choose to send them somewhere else.

This Privacy Policy explains what limited information we collect through the website, purchases, license validation, and support.

02

Information we collect

Website visits may create standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. We use this to keep the site secure and diagnose outages.

If you buy a paid plan, Lemon Squeezy processes checkout information such as name, email address, billing address, tax information, payment status, order number, and subscription status. Zolt receives the information needed to deliver and validate your license.

If you contact support, we collect the email address, messages, attachments, and troubleshooting details you choose to send.

03

What the desktop app does not collect

Zolt does not collect your database rows, query text, schema names, connection strings, saved queries, query history, SSH keys, database passwords, AI provider keys, AI prompts, or AI responses.

Credentials are designed to live in the operating system keychain. License validation may check license key status, activation status, app version, and coarse device activation data, but it is not used to transmit database content.

04

How we use information

We use collected information to provide the website, deliver license keys, validate paid features, process refunds, answer support requests, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, and improve reliability.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your database work or AI prompts for advertising or model training.

05

Processors and third parties

We use service providers for payment processing, license delivery, hosting, email, and support. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout and payment processing for paid subscriptions.

AI integrations are bring-your-own-key. Zolt does not proxy AI requests through Zolt servers. If you connect an AI provider, that provider's privacy terms apply to your use of that provider.

06

Retention

We keep purchase, license, support, and security records only as long as needed for billing, tax, fraud prevention, support, legal compliance, and product operations.

You may request deletion of support or account records by emailing unclegrape1975@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained where required for tax, accounting, dispute, or legal reasons.

07

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for the limited data we process. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

You are responsible for protecting your devices, database credentials, AI provider keys, and backups.

08

Your choices

You can cancel subscriptions through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information by contacting unclegrape1975@gmail.com.

If you are in a region with specific privacy rights, we will respond to applicable rights requests as required by law.

09

Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to unclegrape1975@gmail.com. Include the email address tied to your license if the request concerns a purchase or subscription.
